Description

Bromelain is an enzyme derived from pineapple, which, thanks to its rich content of vitamins A and C, as well as potassium and calcium, offers a wide range of health benefits. It was first used in Central and South America to treat medical ailments.

Bromelain functions as proteases that break down protein molecules into building blocks such as amino acids and small peptides. After protein molecules are broken down, they are more easily absorbed in the small intestine.
