What is Carob Molasses?

AksuVital Carob Molasses is made from carob pods naturally grown in Mediterranean regions. The pods are carefully harvested and transformed into molasses using a vacuum pan system at temperatures below 70°C.

Production methods may slightly vary depending on the fruit type. High-quality carob molasses is prepared from naturally dried carob pods according to the Turkish Food Codex, ensuring hygienic production, processing, storage, and transportation to the consumer.

Carob molasses is a highly nutritious food rich in antioxidants. It is an excellent energy source, with high fiber content, low sugar and fat, gluten-free, and caffeine-free. It is particularly beneficial for children's growth and development.

Carob molasses contains 52–62% total sugars, making it energy-rich. It is also high in minerals, especially potassium (843–1215 mg/kg), calcium (251–361 mg/kg), phosphorus (85–681 mg/kg), and magnesium (63–326 mg/kg). The total phenolic content of carob fruit is 3944.7 mg/kg, and the fiber content is 258.3 g/kg.
