CALENDULA OIL

Calendula (Calendula officinalis L.) is an annual herbaceous plant from the Asteraceae family. It is also known as pot marigold.

Calendula blooms in colors ranging from yellow to orange. It is an annual, rarely biennial plant. It is also known by many different names such as calendula, candle flower, goldcup, thimble flower, and marigold. It begins to bloom in early May and continues to bloom until late autumn.

The composition of calendula flowers includes essential oil, flavonoids, carotenoids, calendulin, sterols, and polysaccharides. With calendulin, this oil obtained from the flowers and leaves can be used:

• As a nourishing agent for worn-out skin.
• It supports heels and elbows in achieving a healthy appearance.
• In hair care, it can be used by mixing with aromatherapy oils.
