What is Extracted Chamomile Water?

Chamomile (family: Asteraceae) is one of the most diverse flowering plant families, with over 1,156 varieties in Turkey alone. Native to Europe, it is widespread from all of Europe to the Caspian coasts. In Turkey, chamomile grows in Marmara, Aegean, Thrace, and Southwest Anatolia regions. This annual herb blooms white flowers between May and August. Chamomile has a slightly bitter and spicy taste and is rich in Vitamin C.

Chamomile is known for its calming and soothing properties and is also widely used in cosmetics. Chamomile water can be consumed as a drink or applied to hair to naturally lighten its color. It is also beloved by bees and a symbol of spring.
