Native to the Mediterranean region, rosemary can grow up to 2 meters tall, with fragrant purple and blue flowers. Essential oils are obtained from its leaves and flowers.

Rosemary is a significant medicinal and aromatic plant, rich in phenolic compounds. Its extract contains key active ingredients including: carnosol, carnosic acid, rosmanol, rosmadial, epirosmanol, isorosmanol, rosmaridiphenol, rosmariquinone, and rosmarinic acid.

It is a highly nutritious herb with strong antioxidant properties, containing large amounts of vitamins C and A, as well as B6 (pyridoxine), B9 (folate), and B1 (thiamine).
