Assos Folic 1 is a dietary supplement containing folic acid (vitamin B9).

Supplemental folic acid intake increases the folate level of expectant mothers. Low folate level is a risk factor for neural tube defects in the development of the fetus. The beneficial effect is obtained when a daily 400 mcg folic acid supplement is taken from at least one month before pregnancy until three months after.
