What is Hawthorn Vinegar?

Aksuvital Hawthorn Vinegar is made from hawthorn fruits harvested in season, through a natural fermentation process. No commercial accelerated fermentation methods are used. The raw material is not exposed to high heat; the product ferments naturally over time. It contains beneficial microorganisms formed by natural vinegar cultures and is produced naturally without additives.

Since it is produced through traditional natural fermentation, after opening the cap, sediment, color changes, or a transparent layer called the "Mother of Vinegar" may appear on the surface. These are not signs of spoilage and the vinegar can be strained and used again. This indicates that fermentation continues and that the vinegar is unpasteurized and unfiltered.
